During one of these early scans, a measurement of your baby is taken from its head to bottom (crown to rump up to 14 weeks) to establish the gestational age of the baby or babies. After 14 weeks this is calculated by head measurements, thus calculating the expected date of delivery. Additionally, it is used to determine the number of babies along with their gestational age.
The ultrasound scanning is done in a comfortable, stress-free environment, displayed in wide screen for all to see and in low level lighting to make viewing much more comfortable.
This scan includes a full Dating Scan report and 2 x A6 2D photos from a medical printer renowned for its quality and high definition complete with Babes in the Womb photo holder. NHS scans are usually carried out in the range of 12-15 weeks but we can offer this at an earlier stage and with no waiting list, therefore reducing anxiety.
